The International Congress of the Royal College of Psychiatrists is one of the most prestigious mental health events in the World.

This year's congress comes to Edinburgh with the theme Psychiatry without Borders and a program featuring 80 symposia and masterclasses and 14 keynotes lectures covering a wide range of subjects including cutting-edge science, clinical practice, mental health policy, neuropsychiatry psychopharmacology and so much more.

Keynote speakers include Prof Karl Deisseroth winner of the 2016 Massry Prize and pioneer of Optogenetics; Prof Richard Morris, winner of the 2015 Brain Prize and renowned for his work on the neural basis of memory; Dame Stephanie "Steve" Shirley, IT pioneer and philanthropist who you may have seen on TED talks will talk about her campaigning work on autism.

We also have Prof Mona Siddiqui, Professor of Islamic and Inter religious studies, Dr Anita Everett, President of the American Psychiatric Association; Deborah Bull, CBE, writer, BBC broadcaster and former creative director of the Royal Opera House; Prof Anthony David; Prof Michael King; Prof Ian Deary of Edinburgh on Healthy Cognitive Ageing along with Professor Rachel Yehuda, Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Traumatic Stress Studies at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
